We’re pretty excited about Oticon’s new hearing device with rechargeable batteries. Oticon’s Opn miniRITE now has a rechargeable battery. An easy overnight charge gives you full power for the day without the hassle of handling batteries.
The thing most people didn’t like about rechargeable hearing aids in the past was that you couldn’t access the battery. If the battery went bad, that could turn out to be an extensive repair issue. Another thing we like about this new device is that it solves the issue of the battery going out while you are away from home and unable to charge it. Oticon’s rechargeable option has a regular battery door. Oticon sends you a special rechargeable battery that will charge on the dock, but you can also run the hearing aid with a regular non-rechargeable battery….so you get the best of both worlds!
